The theoretical part is completed with a series of exercises that refer to the main facets of the game and with a selection of games, all played by world champions, with which they try to display a range of distinct styles of play.

The book comes complete with a vocabulary that includes words and expressions most used in the chess jargon, used to clarify the different terminology questions that may arise in learning chess.
Finally, it includes a complete and current of the main rules of the chess game of the International Federation, which is the governing body for all tests and chess competitions official version.

The authors, Antonio Manzano López Segura and Joan Vila, are great specialists in the field. The first degree in Economics and Business Administration.

He works as secretary of the Catalan Chess Federation and directs the magazine Butlletí d'Escacs. The second is Textile Engineer. He has been runner-up of Catalonia in preferred category and has the title of international chess arbiter.
