Drazen Marovic, Croatian Grand Master, has won medals in chess Olympiads, as player and coach national teams. Among his most prominent disciples are Bojan Kurajica (Youth World Champion in 1965) and Al Modiakhi, Qatar, the first Grand Master Arabic. Marovic has extensive experience as an author and television commentator. He is currently coach of the Olympic team of Croatia. His previous books, studying various aspects of the game and positional chess pawns have been warmly received by the chess public.
