The miniatures are games that do not exceed 20 plays. This is a careful selection of miniatures in which reputed masters of the international elite commit, in the early stages of the game, a mistake that causes almost immediate storms on the board.

Among the victims and the perpetrators are the greatest chess players of today, and perhaps of all time: Carlsen, Caruana, Karjakim, Kramnik, Aronian, to name a few.

All the games are instructive and surprising, and are classified by theme: the poisoned pawn, premature attacks, the absence of castling, the queen in danger, among others.

Daniel Elguezábal Varela directs the school of La casa del ajedrez since its foundation in 1996. Thousands of students of different levels have been trained there.

Master of the International Chess Federation, Elguezábal is recognized for his solid theoretical knowledge and for his successful career as a player. His previous work, Openings Course, has reached the farthest corners of the Spanish-speaking chess community.
