The hyperaccelerated dragon

The Hyperacelerated Dragon is a variant of the Sicilian Defense. One of its most outstanding features is that it is practiced by players with very different styles. Bent Larsen, for example, model of the dynamic and risky game, or others like Topalov, Ivanchuk, Morozevich, Iturrizaga or Giri, whose form is of calm and positional nature, have used the Hyperacelerated Dragon in response to 1.e4.

In this book, the great master Raja Panjwani presents a repertoire for blacks of this bold and creative variant. It shows, from the second movement, a dynamic way of facing 1.e4. For his sharpness and combativeness, he gets the feeling that Black plays with white.

It covers all the major variants of white and deviations, and incorporates a new treatment against the Maroczy system. Raja Panjwani is a great Canadian teacher who represented his country in numerous youth events. He is currently preparing his doctorate in economics and has returned from the universities of Oxford and Yale.
