Leather box with green lining

Box covered in leather or faux leather, with two compartments to separate the black and white pieces. Green felt or velvet interior for better protection. Book-style opening with press-stud closures.

Large wooden box

Flat box for storing chess pieces individually. Mahogany colour, available in brown and black. The interior is lined with green velvet felt and has individual spaces to store each piece separately. Which chess box do I need?

To choose the right chess box, the most important thing is to check the height of the king and the overall size of the pieces. If the pieces are small or medium-sized, a standard box is usually enough. If the pieces are large, it is better to choose a wider box so that all the pieces fit correctly and the lid can close without forcing it.

You should also consider how you are going to use it. For storing frequently used pieces, a simple wooden box may be enough. For higher-quality pieces, wooden pieces or special sets, it is advisable to choose a box with a better interior finish, such as models with felt, foam or individual compartments.
