"An ambitious story, where love and fear, the past and the future, intertwine with the destiny of two young people brought together by chance on the same train."
Almudena Grandes
Any life can change in a minute
In the winter of 1943, Madrid stretches among the ruins of the war. In the suburbs of the city, Daniel hides his true identity and, with it, his past in the conflict. In the other Madrid, the one with the cafés and shop windows on Calle Serrano, Julita begins to study letters at the university and feels the need to separate from the future that her family had always predetermined for her.
The minute it takes two trains to collide
United by the force of destiny, the two young people will coincide in a long express trip from Madrid to La Coruña, fleeing from what others have planned for them. There they will meet and see their complicity born, without knowing that the train is doomed to a catastrophe that will change their lives forever.
The minute it takes two glances to meet
Life in a minute rescues a sadly unknown post-war episode, the tragedy of a railway crash that left hundreds of victims and was silenced by the press of the Franco regime. He does it to show us that love and life can sometimes be born from the rubble.
