A new work by Shereshevsky after more than 20 years away from teaching in chess. The Shereshevsky method to progress in chess is an updated and condensed compilation of the classic works of the Belarusian coach Mikhail Shereshevsky. It includes a training program that includes the creation of the repertoire of openings, the study of the classics, the calculation of variants and the strategy of finals.
The great teacher Shereshevsky returned to teaching in the field of chess from the hand of the Russian Chess Federation in 2014 and, taking advantage of this new experience at the highest level, created a completely restructured compendium of his famous classics Endgame Strategy (which has not been translated into Spanish) and The Soviet Chess Conveyor (the latter translated into Spanish as Perfecting in Chess, although it is exhausted), adding many new examples, exercises and debates on different training methods. In addition, it reveals a new and very effective approach on how to calculate variants.
A book divided into three parts. In the first one, he selects material from the book Perfection in Chess, in the second comes the turn of Endgame Strategy, in both cases with new examples. In the third part, Shereshevsky makes a revision of several books, his and other authors' books, and this is where he influences the calculation of variants.
Club players who wish to improve can now access the famous Shereshevsky training program in one volume and learn:
- how to build a repertoire of openings,
- how to study the classics to obtain the maximum benefit,
- how to master the most important principles in the finals; Y
- how to calculate variants effectively and efficiently.
Studying the Shereshevsky method will greatly enrich your understanding of chess and help you progress towards mastery in chess.
