Andrei Volokitin is a member of a rich generation of Ukrainian-us players. While still a teenager got it, thanks to a dynamic and brilliant game, a rating that allowed him to be among the twenty best in the world. Although not aspire to emulate their exploits, we can learn a lot from their training methods, their games and their general conception of chess. These issues form the content of this book, written in collaboration with his trainer.
The core of the work consists of 369 positions, the reader must cope with a task or a specific question. These tasks resemble the player is in practice at the board and, therefore, are especially useful for training purposes. Grandmaster Andrei Volokitin was born in Lvov in 1986. In 2004 won the Championship of Ukraine and was part of his country team that won the gold medal at the Olympiad in Calvia. In the list of January 2005 he was, at 18, among the 20 best in the world. He has won numer-ous awards at youth events and major international championships.
International Master Vladimir Grabinsky is the coach of the youth team of Ukraine. In addition to Volokitin, among his pupils they are several players that have achieved at an early age, teacher and titles International Grandmaster.
