How is the book structured?
Dr Emmanuel Lasker, a great mathematician, philosopher and champion of the world of chess, said: "You will not learn any art if you are restricted only to it; They have to look for associations, their connections, also their logical relations and their analogies with the rest of things "
These words seem to be written for this book.
The 33 chapters of this work are structured in 6 different blocks. Each of them focuses on the chess theme from a different perspective. Each chapter begins with a more or less philosophical reflection. Then block the story of Martin and his father. Martin is a child who attends extracurricular chess classes at his school. In the afternoon, when returning home, he reviews with his father and in front of the board, what he learned in those classes.
Then we find the theoretical part that is dealt exclusively with questions. After the theory the exercises. This book contains about 700 exercises that can be used in different ways depending on who is focused on learning. The last block consists of photos with mystery, a more abstract and creative way to focus learning that seeks the analogy of the photo with a chess theme and the history of chess. In the final part of the book, they are sure to discover very interesting and useful surprises, especially for teachers of chess.
Miguel Ángel Mimbela López, born in Zaragoza on August 3, 1966, has the title of superior monitor by FEDA. Director and teacher of the chess school of the Agrupación Artística Aragonesa, Dean club, since 1992. As a player he reached 2260 (Elo FIDE). Champion of Aragon by teams several times. Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Nowadays dedicated fully to the musical and chess education.
