The best chess players in the world in the years prior to World War II - is aimed at players already initiated, but in clear training process.
It is a didactic book with basic contents in the field of the Strategy in Chess, where the author exposes 10 important lessons with well chosen examples. An excellent Decalogue of the Basic Strategy in chess.
For the Spanish edition we added a section with the most important games of Eliskases and a biography of this great unknown, who beat no less than three world champions: Capablanca, Euwe and Fischer.
The agitated life of this Argentine chess player of Austrian origin had to be rescued from oblivion. Eliskases saw his career cut short and a possible match for Alekhine's world title in 1941.
"Improve your positional game," first edited in Portuguese, now sees the light in Castilian, although this great chess player practically spent all the years of his life in Argentina - from 1939 onwards - and had also prepared his edition in Spanish. Finally, and thanks to the efforts of his son and MI Soppe is published now, making a heartfelt homage to Eliskases 10 years after his death in 1997.
