We organize the fast tournament Fiesta Mayor del Poblenou

Hello lovers of chess!
The second week of September was celebrated Poblenou's Festa Major, and as we did last year, we organized a friendly chess tournament on one of the streets in festivals. We love being able to participate in this type of celebration by contributing our sand dunk.
The tournament was played on September 12 of 2019 at Maria Aguiló street (between Llull and Pujades). At 18:30 they were called all the people who wanted to participate, since there was no type of restriction as it was a friendly tournament in the neighborhood's biggest party.
Despite this, it was a great surprise to find a really strong tournament with the participation of 5 Catalan masters and 1 FIDE master. In this tournament, 49 people participated, among them 13 were not federated. We did not expect this great welcome and we were really satisfied.
The chosen format was a 5 minute fast tournament. Despite this and after 9 rounds the tournament was extended until 9.30 at night. We got a good chess tie and good times.
At the beginning of the tournament participants were warned that, unlike official regulations, making a single illegal move would make you lose the game. This led us to have some small problem that unfortunately could not be solved. We hope that in future editions we will be able to continue improving so that these things do not happen.
The winner of the II edition of the chess tournament of the biggest festival of Poblenou was the Catalan maestro David Ayza León. Despite being a small tournament there were prizes for the top 4 classified, the top 2 non-federated, the best sub 14 and the best of more than 65 years. We leave you here the list of participants and the final classification.
We will leave a few pictures for you to see how well we went. 
Finally, we want to thank the party commission for setting up the chess championship in our street, and the trust placed in us. We hope to repeat next year with the same success.
